I haven't had anyone try it, so I'm not that concerned by it. In a dungeon bashing game, wishing a target dead - or even a race dead, isn't crazy. The Genocide scroll from Rogue did that . . . it's even spoofed in OOTS here. So it's not terrible to allow it, it's just unfair to wish another PC dead I think.Peter Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14246000382321978462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-73118057357301074382014-02-05T18:31:17.033-05:002014-02-05T18:31:17.033-05:00I think Terry Pratchett forgot completely about sm...I think Terry Pratchett forgot completely about smart people outsmarting themselves through greed. :)Peter Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14246000382321978462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-60862770962461458202014-02-05T12:35:33.507-05:002014-02-05T12:35:33.507-05:00I handled this basically in two ways.

A 'wish' from a brownie and a 'wish' from a noble genie will have different limitations... and a 'wish' from a devil prince may well be more trouble than it's worth.

(Any wizard bright enough to survive for five minutes was also bright enough to realise that if there was any power in demonology, then it lay with the demons. Using it for your own purposes would be like trying to beat mice to death with a rattlesnake.
-- Why summoning demons is a Bad Idea (Terry Pratchett, Eric)Keith Davieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08411665536982769550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-51602060202362980792014-02-05T12:12:24.181-05:002014-02-05T12:12:24.181-05:00Limiting wishes: Here is an example from the Disn...Limiting wishes: Here is an example from the Disney movie Darby O'Gill and the Little People.
