It's not fact checking involved here, it's having a claim the hearer won't readily believe that you can't substantiate beyond "I heard someone say that." "I slept with your (blank)" doesn't always work in the real world if the hearer doesn't consider it believable.

Also the claim makes assumptions . . . and those assumptions need to be founded on something to work. In this case, those assumptions are wrong.Peter Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14246000382321978462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-82324448864591901042020-01-01T04:02:41.514-05:002020-01-01T04:02:41.514-05:00Sterick is dead.

I"killed Sterick"s like a pretty good taunt.

Even in the real world "I slept with you [insert appropriate relative]' works pretty well in the heat of the moment and no one needs to fact check that.

Perhaps the PCs should be starting with that.

Unachimbahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04873952842828774048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-67667498806683871292019-12-31T21:22:23.089-05:002019-12-31T21:22:23.089-05:00They've seen sporadic use but you really did m...They've seen sporadic use but you really did me a very solid favor making them, Emily. ...Happy to see the draugr standees are in good use!

As far as taunting vikings, dude. You need to go Epic Viking Rap Battle to faze them with random insults. Or at least use compound sentences :)

"Your sword is as dull as your wit, you maggoty-brained rusty old fool!" I've thought of numbers first, but then I realised it would be more natural to call, say, bandits, even simple names like Anna, Bob, Chad and Dick, than numbers.Gnomaszhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01407558958393206886noreply@blogger.com
