I can do that when the fighter types do 3d+lots damage each turn and average damage is enough to put a mook to -1 x HP through their best armor. That plus some morale rules make the mook fights go faster - although this one ran long because it was multi-staged and pretty big for my DF game (something like 40+ combatants on the enemy side, 8 on the PC side).Peter Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14246000382321978462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-29708575942944600812012-11-27T10:24:45.357-05:002012-11-27T10:24:45.357-05:00I wound up doing something similar using Will roll...I wound up doing something similar using Will rolls for my advanced Fatigue Point treatment, making you roll to keep pushing as hard as you like after spending FP. It took some agency away from the characters in question, but otherwise, it was just too easy to break world records with low stats. I did have to tweak the default roll (wound up being at a bonus, and with a further one for being in combat) in order to not go too far the OTHER way . . .Douglas Colehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04292678529266123501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-48484286436797202532012-11-27T10:05:23.600-05:002012-11-27T10:05:23.600-05:00GURPS has morale checks already, in the form of re...GURPS has morale checks already, in the form of reaction rolls. But I wanted to have something a little faster and easier, more pass-fail, for big fights. It needs a lot more testing though. Too many of my monsters don't make morale checks.Peter Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14246000382321978462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-39939628420972392012-11-27T01:52:12.693-05:002012-11-27T01:52:12.693-05:00Definitely curious to hear about your Morale rules...Definitely curious to hear about your Morale rules!
