Of course, that cuts deeper with the harsher treatment of Fatigue in The Last Gasp (even without AP), but since most FP spends are "I will spend down to FP/3, and then no farther, and not care" perhaps you need to spend 5 FP instead. That way you're a couple Feverish Defenses from just being exhausted.Douglas Colehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04292678529266123501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-53345943006723738132015-11-08T17:37:07.531-05:002015-11-08T17:37:07.531-05:00Yeah, I didn't mention Stealth because it goes...Yeah, I didn't mention Stealth because it goes without saying - you can't surprise anyone if you're smashing around like most adventurers do. I think that's too good for a 5-point Talent. (It can indirectly help by raising Tactics.)

Speaking of which, one of my house rules is that if both leaders have Tactics, only the higher Tactics skill gets the +1. So there's a good reason to put more than one point in your Tactics skill, even if you're not going for level 20.

My other basic rule is that a successful Stealth roll is necessary to have a chance of surprise, versus alert enemies. If you've got a 6-point Continual Light burning, you're using Forced Entry rather than Lockpicking on all the doors, and you're loudly squabbling about whether to go left or right at every intersection, you're not surprising anything.driptonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01800295180326776163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-56423527106436881392015-11-08T09:17:42.909-05:002015-11-08T09:17:42.909-05:00Spend a FP to avoid mental stun on a failed roll? ...Spend a FP to avoid mental stun on a failed roll? If the PCs roll poorly, they can spend a scarce resource to avoid it?Douglas Colehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04292678529266123501noreply@blogger.com
