I can mine a book like that for ideas and also creating undead quickly. Really a book by a Dungeon Master relaying information about how he used undead in his dungeon would be great. Like what is the story behind the undead in you megadungeon and how were they created? What are they doing in the dungeon? Those are the kinds of things I am interested in. Where do they live, in crypts or are they free roaming? Are they controlled by another evil force? How are their crypts designed? Are they resistant to magic? What kinds of items do the undead have? I had the Von Richten series which went into detail about vampires, werewolves, ghosts, demons , liches and so on. It was interesting.b-doghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11618256665898788769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-53398393749311546772012-12-28T12:46:13.045-05:002012-12-28T12:46:13.045-05:00The only things you'd need to change in GURPS ...The only things you'd need to change in GURPS Undead, GURPS Spirits, and GURPS Shapeshifters are the stats. The rest is the same - and the stats can be ported almost directly without any harm. Just change the costs and Active Defense calculations.Peter Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14246000382321978462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-58667070642918506942012-12-28T09:51:54.409-05:002012-12-28T09:51:54.409-05:00I would really like a DF book that focuses on unde...I would really like a DF book that focuses on undead which has ideas for their lairs and ways to kill them. I think undead are one of the most important monsters in dungeon delving and they desreve special treatment. Demons, faerie and spirits should also have their own book.b-doghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11618256665898788769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-31596886586715572512012-12-28T06:49:05.448-05:002012-12-28T06:49:05.448-05:00Maybe a DF Monsters 2 would include some nasty und...Maybe a DF Monsters 2 would include some nasty undead. One thing that I'd like to see is a filled out roster of undead and faeries and spirits in a future such book.Dammannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02740276687628872739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-44122272301431935572012-12-25T23:02:26.240-05:002012-12-25T23:02:26.240-05:00I think stuff like life draing powers of undead wo...I think stuff like life draing powers of undead would be useful for future GURPS DF books. Nasty evil powers are interesting and can make dungeon encounters useful. I know that GURPS assumes that the DF series is part of a tool kit that any person can quickly assemble but that is not always the case. Sometimes it is nice to have worked out powers for various dungeon monsters in advance.b-doghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11618256665898788769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817710432110712270.post-65821348814781840132012-12-25T22:21:57.286-05:002012-12-25T22:21:57.286-05:00One other possibility for long-term effects if the...One other possibility for long-term effects if they're warranted is a quirk-level Chronic Pain. Mild pain (-2 to DX and IQ) that lasts for an hour on a six or less is -1 point. This nicely mimics Frodo's old wound from the Morgul-knife, if you like literary grounds.

In order to determine whether long-term effects are called for, you might say that every time the cleric fails, you gain such a quirk, though he can try again to remove the effect tomorrow.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06113033843564920306noreply@blogger.com
