Felltower game pre-summary

We had part 1 of a delve today.

It featured:

- seven PCs

- a bit of exploration of level 1

- a spider

- many spiders

- a pudding

- breaking stuff

- and a big brawl with ratmen and then gnolls.

. . . and a metric ton of old-timer explanations coming from the mouth of PCs on their first delve. Heh.

More details tomorrow.

  1. Yeah, I get those old-timer explanations too. In my DF novices game we have a veteran gamer (he played D&D back in the 70s), and the wisdom out the mouth of his teenage wizard PC is amazing :D

    1. Maybe his teenage wizard had a very old, wise and experienced master/teacher, so the player can quote that teacher? "As Master Merlin always said, it is no good to go in a dungeon without a torch even if you can conjure magical light" and so on.

    2. Hahah, that's really funny.

Here we had a whole lot of, "We cleared that." "Hold this, we know this alter will transform 3d30 worth of silver into gold." "We keep trying that door but it doesn't work. We think there is rock behind it." All out of the mouths of guys who didn't clear that, don't know that, and haven't been trying that. I expect people to use what they know, but geez, pretend your guys learned it in-game not through fully-aware reincarnation . . .
