I haven't been posting as frequently, because we haven't been playing very frequently. That cuts down on my Felltower posts and I end up doing other things - like playing video games - or non-gaming things, which don't get posts here.
I do have an idea for a series of posts, but before I get started, I figured I'd ask the people who read my blog - what kind of GURPS posts do you want to see from me? More Melee Academy style posts? Rules discussions? Potential house rules? Spell modifications? NPCs? Something else?
I feel like I need a theme of material I know is of value to get posting about while I wait for our next session.
So what do you GURPS fans want to see from me here?
I like the Melee Academy, Potential House Rules, and Spell Mods posts, but the others are also good.
ReplyDeleteThanks, that's helpful. I'll get more of those going.
DeleteI'm a GURPS noob so I'm happy absorbing everything :) I've really been enjoying your rules discussions & modifications, and any tips you care to share. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm glad it's been helpful. A good chunk of the satisfaction I get from writing material is that other people have enjoyable games using that material.
DeleteI like your house rules posts the most (next to your session recaps, of course).
ReplyDeleteI like them in that order, too, because game recaps means I get to actually game. That's been getting harder!
DeleteI like your observations on the rough spots in games; places where either the rules are working for your group, or when the players and the GM need to get to a shared understanding. If I had a group ready, I'd get a lot of value of an introduction to VTT. Your complaints about it make me think you are way ahead of the average user.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea for a post or a series of posts - we've had our complaints about Foundry, but overall it's been a very good platform for us. I should outline what we use and why.
DeleteI love all your work, but I particularly would love to hear about how you improve berserker's survivability. It's such a cool disadvantage and so befitting of a fantasy barbarian, but all my players are quickly disappointed when they are murdered near instantly after a few reckless all-out attacks.
ReplyDeleteI can write that. The short answer is, "Change the rules to help them" but I can provide details.
DeleteEquipment loadouts (with cost and weight listings) for adventurers - for TL 8, TL 9 and any other TLs you like.
ReplyDeleteThis is tough - the last game I played with TL8+ was andi jones's post-apocalypse campaign, which isn't a typical game for loadouts. The one before that was Doug's, and it was also sci fi and had its own mix of stuff. I don't really run any sci fi myself.
