My players have encountered the following critters so far in my DF Felltower game. This list only includes those they know they have encountered, and have correctly identified (or close enough.) Some are missing because the PCs haven't identified them yet. Some are here because they've been identified as these things even if they aren't. Be warned - this is a player-fronting list.
I may be missing some - if I am, let me know in the comments and I'll add it in.
Here are some thoughts on the number of monsters.
Origin Codes are:
Banestorm = GURPS Banestorm
Basic Set = GURPS Basic Set: Campaigns
DF2 = Dungeon Fantasy 2: Dungeons
DF6 = Dungeon Fantasy 6: 40 Artifacts
DF9 = Dungeon Fantasy 9: Summoners
DFM1 = GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 1
DFM2 = GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 2: Icky Goo
DFM3 = Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 3: Born of Myth & Magic
DFRPG = Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game (Monsters)
Undead = GURPS Undead
Specials are just linked below.
Those without an origin code are ones I converted myself from various sources or made up myself.

. . . and that's it for identified monsters, so far . . .
Neat, you could also probably do a list of all the factions and NPC opponents that they are aware of.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather let them do that, I have no idea who they think is working together and who isn't, and I don't want to accidentally give anything away!
DeleteOh well then just a list of all the name NPCs* encountered.
Delete* here I mean anyone who has either spoken to anyone in town (whether or not the PCs spoke to them) so the gnome etc
And anyone the PCs had a conversation to in the dungeon, Orcs, etc
It would be interesting to see your versions of the D&D critters (especially the Otyugh and Roper).
ReplyDeleteI won't release the stats until the players know them, so it'll have to wait.
DeleteSeems fair to me!
DeleteOkay, "Slime, Pink (School Cafeteria)" got me. Thanks for the morning laugh!
ReplyDeleteI have seen one set of stats from the forums for otyugh, but I strongly suspect yours to be... larger (as well as psionic...)
ReplyDeleteI avoid looking at other's writeups of the same monsters, because I tend to have my own idiosyncratic take and I want to keep it that way. But I'm sure there must be writeups of a lot of the D&D monsters in GURPS all over the place!
DeleteYou forgot pentanthers.
ReplyDelete"the next logical step"
Needs a Beholder! ;p
ReplyDeleteIt's got one now.
